About Grafton Regional Gallery
The Grafton Regional Gallery is one of NSW’s leading contemporary public galleries. The gallery delivers a vibrant and innovative program of exhibitions, events, public programs, and community engagement projects to provide exceptional and unexpectedly global experiences to the communities of the Clarence Valley and its visitors.
The Gallery was established in 1988 to enrich the cultural life of Grafton and the Clarence Valley. It has evolved to play a key role in building community resilience, reflecting our sense of place, and telling local stories through the visual arts.
The Gallery has undergone several stages of restoration and redevelopment on its current site over three decades. Most recently, a major redevelopment and refurbishment was undertaken in 2021 following a $7.6 million grant from the NSW Government.
The result is a stunning state-of-the-art regional facility incorporating six gallery spaces, workshop and meeting spaces, an on-site artist cottage, gallery store, visitor information outlet, and refurbished café. New additions integrate seamlessly into the heritage precinct and cottage gardens creating a distinctive visitor experience.
