The Clarence Valley Indigenous Art Award (CVIAA) is open to First Nations artists who reside on Bundjalung, Gumbaynggirr, and Yaegl Country within the Clarence Valley Council region.
Museum Advisory Program
In partnership with Museums & Galleries NSW, Clarence Valley Council supports seven Clarence Valley volunteer run museums through the Museum Advisor Program. The programs provides advice on strategic planning, audience development, exhibitions and programming, collection management, and funding.
The CVC program includes a range of tailored workshops for museum volunteers, collectors, and people interested in learning how to preserve precious memorabilia and historic artefacts.
The Clarence Valley is home to seven volunteer-run museums, each with a wealth of information about the history of the area:
